Father Ray’s 16th Annual Memorial Service

On Friday evening, August 16th 2019, our children from the CPDC, the staff and volunteers of HHNFT, the staff of the Pattaya Orphanage, the Sotpattana School for the Deaf and many more went to the annual memorial service held at Saint Nikolaus Church in honour of Father Ray Brennan who founded the Pattaya Orphanage and a multitude of projects for the less fortunate. In addition, his statue at the Pattaya Orphanage and his grave were decorated with many beautiful flowers.

In 1972, Father Raymond A. Brennan, a Redemptorist priest, was sent to Pattaya to temporarily help with the work at Saint Nikolaus Church. One morning, when he opened the church door he found new-born child left at the stairway front. Not knowing what to do, he took care of the child. News about the fostering of the child spread, resulting in more children being brought to him. The same year Father Ray founded the Pattaya Orphanage.

It has been sixteen years since Father Ray passed away. Every August at his date of death the children, staff, friends and benefactors of all the projects founded by him get together to remember Father Ray, pay respect to him and to honour his life’s work.
