After a quiet sparkling wine reception in the lobby area of the Shangri-la Hotel, the gates to the Grand Ballroom opened at 7 o´clock and the guests were invited to spend an evening filled with music, several performances and lots of laughs under literally thousands of stars.
To open the marvellous event the guests were asked to hold a moment of silence in memory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej before they were welcomed by the board of the Thai-German Chamber of Commerce as well as by His Excellency Mr. Peter Prügel. In their speeches all of them emphasised the importance of international collocation and Mr. Markus Lorenzini, President and CEO, gave a short recap of the last 55 years of the Thai-German Chamber of Commerce.
During the evening, the melodic band JAZZIAM performed while the guests had the chance to eat, dance and to participate in interesting conversations. Furthermore, young students of the Department of Music Theatre, Mahidol University, put a wonderful show full of traditional dances and music on stage.
As the main part of the evening came to an end, several big prizes were drawn in a big raffle and presented to the lucky winners. But the event was not over yet. After the official part, the guests were welcomed to join the after-party before going home. Everybody enjoyed the terrific evening.
