Our guests were especially interested in how the rehabilitation of those children works, who have been trafficked and endured crimes of pedophilia or other physical and emotional abuse. All of them were looking forward to hear more about how to help children who have experienced similar crimes and especially how to reintegrate them into society.
After being welcomed by the children, Khun Noi, the head of the Drop-In Center, and Khun Toy gave the guests more information about the work of the social workers, teachers and mentors from the CPDC and the Drop-In Center. While they were talking, the guests had the chance to see some of the animated movies of the Mobile Training Unit as well as a short film about a new game, which should both raise the children´s awareness for dangers in the streets and in the construction camps.
Later the director of social welfare of Chaophraya Surasak City Municipality talked about the importance of these projects and praised the work of Human Help Network in Pattaya. After these warm words the children performed two lovely songs, before the guests were divided into three different groups to see more of the area of the Center.
Needless to say that, after showing the guests around, Khun Ead already provided a delicious meal for everybody. Whether big or small, everybody enjoyed this informative morning at the CPDC.
