HHNFT takes part in the Princess Soamsawali Cup Charity Y.W.C.A. Fun Run

Many people dressed in whacky outfits and costumes and they ranged from young to old, with many tourists as well as local people enjoying the fun atmosphere. The girls from CPDC also got into the spirit of the occasion, donning colorful dresses decorated with flowers as Hawaiian style.

After being allocated their numbers, the teams and individual runners gathered at the start line.  As our children were highly motivated to do well, they did some warm ups in preparation for the run. After a short introduction speech, the group started on their run to the north side of the Pattaya Beach, motivated along the way by the many supporters who shouted their encouragement to those facing this challenge in the hot afternoon sun.

As the runners reached the finish line they enjoyed an array of snacks and gratefully received cold drinks.  The CPDC children were particularly proud and excited to complete the race in an impressive second place – which ensured that they would receive a winning cup as their prize.

To complete the race and festivities a show complete with magic tricks, musicians and dancers entertained everybody all those present prior the ceremony and prize giving was announced.  Our children were bursting with pride and happiness when they were called onto the stage to receive their winning cup in front of such a big audience. This was all the more special because they were the youngest prizewinners of the day.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to all those who gave their time so freely in making this amazing day possible and in particular for the generosity of the organizers in extending this invitation to CPDC, our children, who had an experience they will never forget.
